The Old Barn Door

the old barn door
I visited Mary Arden cottage a year or two ago on a specialist photography day and was delighted to meet Banquo, the owl in this picture. As we reached the end of the day, Banquo was placed on this lovely sun bleached barn door and the keeper ducked behind the door, holding on to the jesse which was attached to his anklet. It was the end of a glorious sunny day and the shadows on the door were just right for this picture. It was my husband's favourite picture so he was gutted when I entered it into an exhibition and it sold! I am currently completing another similar (but not the same) painting especially for him

This picture is pastel on velour and is approximately A3 size (22" x 16") plus frame.
Sorry, it is not for sale
